Concrete Poured on Tennyson at 44th

photograph by Neil CormanIts so exciting finally seeing progress onTennyson!  They poured new concrete yesterday and continue to move ahead.

Xcel crews finished their work along the 43rd - 44th block, and also from 38th - 39th, this past Saturday as scheduled so that we could begin our roadway prep work. Barring any significant rainfall, we are set to pave the southbound lanes from 44th to just past 43rd in concrete tomorrow, with the work being completed in just one day. Curb and gutter from 43rd to 44th is expected to be poured on Monday, August 1st into Tuesday, August 2nd. Xcel crews are now working from 43rd to 41st and expect to have that section completed by August 13th.

Now that the gas line relocation work is finished from 38th - 39th, we have begun more extensive roadway removals—including trolley track removals—along that stretch. That work is expected to take most of this week, and we anticipate paving the southbound lanes of that block at the end of next week. Irrigation and electrical work is ongoing along Tennyson.
